Netherlee House
Netherlee House is a registered establishment with accommodation for ten adults who have a wide range of disabilities some of which can challenge services. The Care Commission inspects the service on a bi-annual basis. Netherlee House was the first service opened in December 1995. The house was specifically designed and built by West of Scotland Housing Association.
There is a large staff team who are very experienced in supporting the needs of the individuals within the service. Netherlee House provides an excellent learning environment for any staff member who works there due to the varying levels of needs and support that the residents have.
Netherlee House is an approved learning environment for Student Nurses from Glasgow Caledonian University
The residents are a lively group of people at Netherlee and they enjoy living life to the full. They participate in many activities such as Rebound Therapy (trampolining), Hydrotherapy, eating out and relaxation and aromatherapy sessions. They also have the use of a fully equipped sensory room within the house.
On a recent Carers Questionnaire a relative wrote, “I find the service given to my daughter wonderful. Myself and my daughter find the staff to be very caring, with a great sense of humour and fun. I am very confident that my daughter is very well looked after and loved which gives me great peace of mind”.
